Malaysia-Japan Academic Scholar Seminar 2012

It has been 30 years since the Look East Policy was established during the ruling of the forth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. Malaysia has been investing thousands of scholars to this policy. The strength of Asia started to be acknowledged by the World with the high reputation of Japan, Korea, China and as well as other rising Asian countries. The implementation of this policy has taken Malaysia into a globalized relationship, not only with the United State of America, or European countries, but also the empowerment of Malaysia’s relationship with these rising Asian countries. Within this period of 30 years, we witness developments via technology transfers, diplomatic relationships, economics uprising and many more in Malaysia. We believe that the Look East Policy has played a vital role in contributing to this sophistication.

Malaysia is able to collect more than 10,000 scholars whether in Academic fields or industries. These shinning human capitals have been contributing to the continuity of Malaysia’s development. In order to appreciate all the scholars and to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Look East Policy, student organizations in Japan are working together to hold an event called, “Malaysia-Japan Academic Scholar Seminar (MJASS2012)” in this coming November. We have the honor and pleasure to invite you to the seminar. MJASS 2012 will be composed of research presentations, keynote lectures, invited presentations, and poster presentations by Malaysian students and related parties under the Look East Policy. Your presence to this event are highly appreciated. Let’s Build Our Dream!!
