Date: 5 July 2013 (Friday)
Time: 7pm – 9pm
Venue: Palace Hotel Tokyo
– Dato’ Sri Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin bin Mohd. Jarjis
– Delegation from Perumahan Rakyat 1 Malaysia (PR1MA)
The purpose of the delegates’ visit to Japan was for them to see and learn about house development in Japan. At the same time, they wanted to know, by any chance they can collaborate with Japan’s company to bring the house building technology to Malaysia.
After their visit to Japan’s house building companies, Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ) were invited to join them for dinner. Among other invited guests included 3 representatives from Kelab UMNO Jepun (KUJ) and representatives from Malaysia Embassy in Japan.
During the dinner, we shared our stories on our life in Japan and some of the Japan technologies that can be implemented in Malaysia. According to Dato’ Sri, he managed to visit 2 house building companies and was fascinated by the house building system in Japan. Firstly, the basic structures of houses were built in a special factory and from there the structures were transported to house building site. At the site, the house were assembled together like a ‘Lego’. It was not only Dato’ Sri’s delegation, as we were surprised by the explanation as well.
We felt privileged sitting together, discussing and sharing ideas focusing mainly on housing in Malaysia. We would like to thank Dato’ Sri for giving us the chance to have such an informal session.
