Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo have appoint the following officials as the ‘Amil’ for the collection of zakat fitrah for the year 1435H :

2. Mr Hamdan bin Abdullah (ext. 209)

To those who want to make the payment via Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo, please contact the person stated above through 03 3476 3840  to make appointment. The amount for this year is ¥1500

【Event】MSAJ Yokohama Brothers & Sisters Program

Let’s have inter cultural exchange with
Japanese High School students using English~!!!
Come and join us in our next collaboration event with iM4U!!!

OPEN to all Malaysian Student in Japan~

Activity:
A group of 5~7 Yamato-nishi High School students and 1 Malaysian student studying in Japan will be in one team. Yamato-nishi students will guide the Malaysian student and explain Japanese culture and information about the town & places around Yokohama city by using English. The route will be fixed beforehand. Yamato-nishi High School students will be divided into 2 groups. Malaysian students will join a different group both in the morning and in the afternoon session. (Refer table below)

Schedule :
9:00 Assemble at Yokohama Stadium and check the schedule
9:30 Malaysian students meet with the Yamato-nishi High School students (AM teams)

AM
Yamato-nishi students on each team (containing 1 Malaysian student) guide the Malaysian student around Yokohama to places where they research beforehand. Communication language during this time is limited to English only so that the Yamato-nishi students will try to communicate in English.
12:30 Each team goes to JICA and have their lunch there. AM session ends here.
12:45 Each PM teams staying at JICA in the morning meets with Malaysian students.

Yamato-nishi students on each team (containing 1 Malaysian student) guide the Malaysian student around Yokohama to places where they research beforehand. Communication language during this time is limited to English only so that the Yamato-nishi students will try to communicate in English.
15:30 PM programs ends and all group gathers at Yokohama Stadium. The Yokohama Brother & Sisters program ends and all staff & students are dismissed.

*Participants will be given transportation and food subsidy in total of ¥3,000 per person. Plus, the school also are giving ¥5,000 for each participants as a token of appreciation! So in total you will get ¥8,000!!!
*Limited to first 26 participants only!!! Registration will close once we reach the numbers (inclusive of organizing committee members) or on 17th April 2012 Thursday, 2359 hours, whichever is earlier.

Every year, Malaysian Students’ Association in Japan (MSAJ) held the Annual MSAJ Career Fair which aims to provide a platform to connect both employers and Japan-graduate-students. It extends the opportunity for prospective employers to meet face-to-face with students across Japan who are seeking employment opportunities. Even though many students successful in getting job through the MSAJ Career Fair, some of the students also failed due to lack of preparation in term of interview.

In order to give better support on this aspect, we would like to invite all the members of MSAJ especially the participants of MSAJ CF 2014 to this “MSAJ Career Fair 2014 Workshop”. Through this workshop, you will get to learn about basis in interview skills and consult with professionals about your career choice!!!

【Scholarship】Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme (FSTEP)

We wish to inform that the FSTEP Batch 11 scholarship training programme is now open for application until 20th March 2013.

Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) provides an intensive one year fully sponsored training programme for Malaysian graduates of age below 30 from ALL DISCIPLINES.

FSTEP is an industry-driven initiative with participation of all banks and insurance companies as well as Takaful operators in Malaysia. The programme is the brainchild of the Governor of Central Bank of Malaysia, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz, managed by the Institute of Bankers Malaysia with the objective to train a new pool of talent and prepare them to be the future apprentice with high competency level, to serve the financial services industry in Malaysia.

【Event for ALL MEMBERS】MSAJ Annual General Meeting 2014

Omg!! It’s already December and 2014 is coming soon! Time flies quickly right?
(Winter break is coming soon too, oh yeah~~!!)
So, it’s time for our AGM again and it has only been a week after our Malaysian Night!
Such diligent and hardworking committee members we have in MSAJ 😛

For first timers, our AGM serves the following purposes:

  1. Yearly reports from each bureau.
  2. Election for 2014 term’s EXCO & committee members.

To us, the AGM also serves as a platform for the organizing committee of MSAJ to recruit Malaysians students in Japan who have the will and passion to join us in taking care of the Malaysian students’ welfare and unite Malaysians here by having loads of activities, events and sharing information.

If you have any of the following reasons to join MSAJ, please do so as we are hoping for MSAJ to improve and be capable of serving our community here better!

  1. Have confidence in bringing MSAJ to a higher level with just your presence or aura in the team.
  2. Wanna make events with experienced event planners and decent budget.
  3. Interested in any of our proposed roles (or any contents of the roles) in this page.
  4. Wanna learn how an organization works.
  5. Like working with others.
  6. Just want to join for fun and pick up a few skills along the way.
  7. Any reason you can think of.

Basically, we’ll be needing your expertise and creativity in making our future events and plans more successful. We’ll also guide and provide you with chances to display and refine your talents and skills freely as long as it’s beneficial to our Malaysian community in Japan.
